System Administrator & Web Application Developer

Joshua is responsible for web applications and system administration. He worked for Linux companies such as Penguin Computing and VA Linux Systems (now VA Software) during the first dot-com boom. While in college, he created web applications for research scientists at UC Davis to facilitate sorting through DNA sequence data. While working for GDA Technologies, he implemented an IPv6 stack on HP Laser printers which ran on embedded software. At Pure, he is a web application developer who works with ASP.NET, Linux, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PHP.

Steven Loi

Co-founder

Finance & Operations

Steven manages the finances and internal operations for the company, ensuring that projects run smoothly. From determining competitive pricing structures to streamlining the company's core competencies, Steven focuses to constantly improve the company's structure. Prior to founding and managing Pure, he worked as a manager at Walgreens, interned at Morgan Stanley in the Sacramento branch, founded a non-profit student-based consulting organization, and served as president of Alpha Kappa Psi, a co-ed professional business fraternity.

Wilson Gee

Web Application Developer

Here at Pure, Wilson's duties as web application developer have led him to implement Google Checkout, work with emerging technologies such as Ruby on Rails and AJAX, and harness his experience with established tools such as ASP.NET, Linux, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PHP. Wilson extended the functionality of our internal web journaling application, implemented online listing site, and created a sophisticated configuration system for a sales review tool for a large IT firm.

Aleck Lin

Web Application Developer

Aleck Lin, another UC Davis graduate and a former GDA Technologies Embedded Systems Engineer, has joined our team. He graduated with a double degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering in Winter of 2005. He brings a solid background in firmware and understanding of programming. He is also the only member on the team that will not be thrown off stage if asked to sing a song.

Bigi Lui

Web Application Developer

Bigi is responsible for developing web applications. His web development experience goes all the way back to the first dot-com boom, where he started and maintained his own webmaster tools service. After graduating from UC Davis, he worked at Intel Corp in Folsom as a Product Development Engineer, working with C++ programs for validating the Core 2 Duo processors. At Pure, Bigi is a web applications developer who works with everything from PHP, Ruby on Rails and MySQL in the backend to XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX on the frontend.

Johanna Su

Junior Design Intern

Johanna Su, a UC Davis undergraduate majoring in Design and minor in Computer Science, also came onboard. She adds diversity to our predominantly male company in addition to her crafty design skills. Jo will provide valuable ideas while she continues to improve her web skills.
