Executive Summary: Cosmopolitan Wall was originally built for the 24-hr Iron-Coder Contest as the CommunityNext Platforms conference. Facebook apps created for the contest must be international and educational. Cosmo Wall won us the Top Quality award at the contest.

Features: Cosmo Wall works in a similar way to the normal Facebook wall, while allowing users to translate their messages to a different language. A couple of enhancements were made after the contest ended, including wall-to-wall view, and an AJAX message-translation function.

Production Notes: Built with PHP, MySQL, and FBML. International characters' encoding are handled by unicode output. The app uses Google Translate to support the translations.
