Executive Summary: Group Gifts facilitates gifting among friends. A user can organize a gift for a friend and invite their friends to contribute to the gift, paying securely via Google Checkout.

Features: The Group Gifts application aggregates funds for all users contributing to a gift. It features a gift detail page that allows communication on a wall and lets the organizer modify the gift. The Facebook application also allows non-Facebook users to contribute via a link on the invitation email sent to them.

Production Notes: Built with PHP, MySQL, and FBML. The backend administration system is built using Ruby on Rails.
