Web Design Web Application Development Database Development

Database Development. Overview.

A database is simply a collection of information, which may store things such as a list of employees or the text of a library's entire book collection. If all we were concerned about was just stashing away information, we may as well keep it all on pieces of paper. More often than not, however, we want to ask questions of the information we have, and we want to keep this information up to date.

Database software gives us the ability to do just that, and to do it quickly. Here at Pure, we've developed databases which kept track of information ranging from DNA sequences to online invitations. We are in our element when it comes to databases, and we make sure that the databases we design are secure, efficient, robust, well documented, and elegantly architected.

We consider database development to be separate from web application development. Web applications often depend on databases, but databases can exist apart from web applications to be a useful component in their own right, as non-web applications often make use of databases as well.

We develop databases to run powerful applications like:

  • Content Management Systems
  • Shopping Carts
  • Sale Leads
  • Online Payment Systems
  • Employee Management
  • Intranets

Whether your project needs database development, it would most certainly need a place to host the website. We provide that as well.
